The Bugaboos have captured Lilla’s heart in two ways.  It is where she was inspired to start her mountain guiding career, and where she continues to pursue her passion.  At the Bugaboos she met and married her husband Marc Piché with whom she has shared the past 10 years of her life.  Lilla’s contribution to the FOBP is a way for her to give back to the Bugaboos in return for all the ways in which they have enriched her life.

Marc discovered the Bugaboos in the early nineties and since then has spent hundreds of days in the area guiding both privately and for the CMH Bugaboo Lodge, where he was the assistant manager for almost seven years.  Along with Chris Atkinson, Marc co-authored the award winning guidebook for the area.  In pursuit of his climbing passion he has spent a great deal of time adventuring and exploring the Bugaboos, much of this with his wife Lilla whom he met and married there.

Tim McAllister is a climber and guide that moved to the Columbia Valley 17 years ago after climbing the Beckey Chouinard with his wife. His passion for the Bugaboos has driven him to climb year round;  from winter attempts on the Howsers,  new routes to trail building. As a director of FOBP, Tim aims to help keep the Bugaboo experience beautiful, fun and safe, whether hiking, skiing or climbing.

From his first trip into the spires 25 years ago Chris was taken by the magic of the Bugaboos. A park ranger in the Bugs in the late eighties, supplying much of the information for the first guidebook and co-authoring the definitive guidebook to the Bugaboos with Marc Piche, the Bugaboos are very special to Chris. A mountain Guide by profession, it doesn’t matter to Chris why he is in the Spires, just as long as he is.
